About Us

We are Dr Robyn Lesser, DMD and Dr Abida Taher MD, PhD,  co-founders of OC Oral Care candies. We are passionate about good oral health and we love sweets! We believe OC candies are an effective way to satisfy your sweet tooth while bringing the many benefits of Xylitol to your mouth. OC candies are not only good for adults but also for kids promoting a healthier smile and a healthier lifestyle. 

Dr Abida Taher is a board certified oncoradiologist who earned her MD and PhD degrees from Tulane University in New Orleans. She completed her Nuclear Medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and her Oncologic Imaging fellowship at Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. Dr Taher also completed a mini fellowship in Dementia Imaging from UCLA School of Medicine. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Nuclear Medicine and has been in private practice since 2009. When she is not working, Dr Taher enjoys hanging out with her husband, Nur and her kids Gibraan and Zoya.

Dr. Robyn is a native of Clearwater, Florida, and earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and her DMD from the University of Florida with honors in research. She also completed her pediatric residency at the University of Florida. Dr. Lesser is a fellow and a  diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Lesser is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association®, as well as her state and local dental associations. She is also a member of Florida Blue Key and is currently president of Pedo Gators, the pediatric dental alumni association for the University of Florida. Dr. Lesser enjoys volunteering in the schools to help educate children on good oral health. She has been in private practice in Tampa since 2002. When she is not working, she is busy with her husband, Gene, and two daughters, Sasha and Mila.
